Effective climbing and descending techniques workshop Event / News

Perfect you cycling skills at our free workshop

We are delighted to announce that during the summer months you will be able to perfect your cycling skills at the Freewheel Cycling Cafe.  The first session kicks off on 14 July and is aimed at exploring effective climbing and descending techniques.  There are some perfect hills to practice up nearby, so the aim is to head to the Downs and then after the training session continue on for a 10 mile ride (light permitting).

Date: Thursday 14 July 2016
Time: 6pm
Cost:  FOC

The session will provide an opportunity to demonstrate and practice effective climbing techniques including gear selection, body position and coping with different surface conditions. In addition, we will explore braking, line selection, focal point and body position to allow effective descending.

The workshop will be run by expert cycling trainer Simon Allum who runs Attain-Motion at Sport and Remedial Massage clinic in Kent. Simon also runs his massage clinic from the Freewheel Cycling Cafe every Tuesday from 4-9pm.

We can take 6-8 people on the first session so please get in touch if you would like to join in the session.

This is a great opportunity to take your riding skills to another level so please do let your friends know about this event.
